"I had requested a Tarzan, but I am very happy with what I received!!!"

***

I was starting to hate myself for not getting one of these beauties.  Reading Scott's quote reaffirmed my decision not to get one.

The recent Hawkman sketches are great, great, great!  Congrats everyone on these Kuberts.

Which is, possibly, the best rendition of Hawkman ever done!

Q: Kubert is doing these in wash and dry-brush?

Huge congrats to Scott and Chretien, those are two mighty fine renditions of Hawkman. And I understand your lack of disappointment, Scott. Receiving that very VERY fine Hawkman instead of a Tarzan must have been a bit like wishing for a tenner and getting a twenty... not what you wished for, but more rather than less so to speak.

I wish Kubert had just done the 100 sketches ahead of time of whatever he wanted to do and then put them all on eBay.  That way people could actually get what they wanted and I'm sure he would've raised WAY more money.

Ari alone would've paid $1,525,000 for the Batman.

I know Ari, I'm saying if you had to bid on it on eBay instead of just ordering it you would've bid well over $1 million.
