What I like about Kubert's work is how few lines he actually uses to make the image. You can picture him putting a line here and a squiggle there.....then voila! Finished piece with a lot of detail.  That's mastery.

The Kubert is great, but i really LOVE that Zeck/Beatty Colossus..simply awesome

The Kubert is great, but i really LOVE that Zeck/Beatty Colossus..

oooookay...

I own the Zeck, and I love Colossus. That said, I would never make the above statement, or agree with it.

Although I thought Zeck's style would lend itself to an awesome barrel-chested Colossus, and I was not disappointed. 

Edit:BTW the Nightcrawler was a gift from Mr. Cockrum for picking him up at the airport before a miniscule local convention down in West Palm Beach, back in '84 I'm guessing.
