I don't think I read any issues of the Clone Saga; I gave up on the Spider-Man titles shortly after Peter's parents allegedly returned from the dead--early in Bagley's run on the title, if memory serves, the 360's. I have a few of the Dezago/Wieringo issues of The Sensational Spider-Man, but beyond those, I don't know much about Ben Reilly or the whole Clone business.

Whatever happens. I want to see some fun stories. Like, say, [url-http://www.marvel.com/catalog/?id=7716]this one[/url].
(Trust me. You won't read a better Spider-Man & Wolverine vs. Santa Claus
story this year.)

A big one. Made in gold, if possible. Hey, you're the man who wrote my favorite Spider-Man scene ever!

Ahem. It's Superman-Prime. Or possibly [Young Superman]-Prime.

Yes, now he's called that. But it was "Superboy" doing the punching.
See??? Everything's being torn asunder by this!!! Oh the humanity.....

Since I don't hear THAT too often, I will ask...which scene was that?

<<In Spider-Man: Disassembled, the villainess turns Spider-Man into a giant spider monster thingy. The spider seems to die, and Spider-Man pops out of the corpse with organic webbing and the ability to talk to spiders (and insects, because apparently spiders and insects share the same lingua franca).
In Spider-Man: The Other, the bad guy beats the crap out of Spider-Man, forcing him to embrace his "inner spider", which results in his developing the ability to grow fangs and arm stingers. He then dies, but crawls out of his skin, shedding it like an exoskeleton, completely healed. >>
So... this is a new power Spider-Man has acquired?

PETER PARKER #98: Spider-Man saves the Daily Bugle thinking to Mary Jane. I was 16 years old when I first read that story, and I already had tons of Spider-Man comics, but that was the supreme scene, for me. It was EPIC. If I could scan those pages, I'd post them here for those who haven't that issue. Kudos to John Romita, Jr., too: PP #s 97 and 98 are my favorite comic books drawn by him.

Bring back Ben Reilly. If the clone saga was done today instead of then, it would be considered genius considering the current state of the book. Maybe if we're lucky, Peter will turn out to be a skrull.

Mary Jane will be a Skrull, and the marriage will be void and null...? Y'think?

It was the FIRST thing that crossed my mind when I heard about the Skrull storyline. That and Cap not being dead.

Thomas Moudry said
"I don't know how to repair what's been done to Spider-Man over the past few years, but having Mary Jane wake up, shuffle to the bathroom, and find Peter in the shower, saying, "Good morning! Bad dream, MJ?" is sort of tempting."
I'd second that, only I'd reverse it and have MJ in the shower instead. Given that poor out Aunt May was shot, it would sort of make sense for Peter to have the bad dream. Not to mention that MJ in the shower would make up for all the bad story-lines (Sins Past, anyone??)
I absolutely hate Spider's ID being known by everybody!
