Lugosi's monster originally spoke in that film, but was cut in the editing

Next Sideshow Adam Hughes statue announced:
http://www.sideshowtoy.com/behindtheshow/?p=4383&source=0221 08news
I've never liked Rogue's original costume. Or hair. I'm torn. I thought this
comment by Adam Hughes was funny:
QUOTE:
The Rogue Comiquette is guaranteed to cause 63% less marital
strife than the Emma Frost statue. |

he said
"Dr Frankenstein created this body to be immortal! his son gave me a new brain,a clever brain.i shall use it for the benefit of the miserable people who inhabit the world, cheating each other, killing each other, without a thought but theyre own petty gain. I will rule the world!"
amongst others . . .

This is one of the best Karloff/Monster busts I have seen. Life-sized, and it was only about $50 in a "Halloween Store" I happened across some dozen or so years ago.

There's one helluva comic book series in that little statement.

I love those Sideshow Universal Monster statues! Looks like I need some more shelf place to so I can get these beauties! Nothing can compare to these classic horror movies, with the Wolfman being my all-time favorite!!!
I also wish they had done mini-busts for the Creature, Mummy and Invisible Man to go with their Dracula, Frankenstein, and Wolfman when they released them in the DVD collector set a few years back. Best..

Sadly, for me, I've never been too impressed with the sculpted versions of AH's artwork. I really wish they could find a sculptor that could sculpt as well as AH can draw/paint. If he's providing the linework as well as a rendered version to the sculptor I don't know why the quality can't be on par with some of the other stuff that's out there.
Maybe it's just me.

I think the statues they do of his work tend to be good. The problem is AH's work is so awesome that any attempt to capture that in sculpture fails and looks bad in comparison. I did think the Women of the DCU Batgirl mini-bust came really close to looking like the drawing.

Who, me? If so...dang it. I hate when I'm Watson in the conversation. Care to point to the elementary thing that I'm missing?
