There was an article, http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=147315 decribing the upcoming DC Direct stuff.

I tell you, if I run across the Flash by Cooke, I might get it. If I have money. I mean, it's Barry Allen and he's having a great time as a superhero. Should do JB and the deceased Mike Parobeck good to see.

Also, I really really want the Earth 2 Superman from this set...and the cool Dick Sprangy Batman...

All-Star Super Squad: These renditions of the JSA mainstays from their '70s run hit in March. Included are Supes, WW, Bats and Hawkman.

I liked that Wonder Woman quite a bit, until I noticed the absolutely horrible articulation.  Her limbs make her look like some kind of deformed cyborg.

I think she's a knockoff/repaint of an earlier version that didn't have knee and elbow articulation. The head looks new, though.

I had posted this in the Iron Man movie thread earlier, but then thought it would be more appropriate here.  I checked back about 7 pages and didn't see anything on it yet, so...

Life-Size Movie Iron Man Bust

JB, you had mentioned buying the costume from the upcoming Iron Man toy collection so you could have the helmet for the wall, but I think this would be much much better...

Very cool, JB!

And yours holds its own against the store-bought version; yours has a sort
of Aurora Monster model charm to it!

I agree.  Even in contrast to the store bought Fin, JB's homemade version looks impressive.  Looking at them, though, my first thought was: if they both came to life, who would win in a fight?  The store Fin has the advantage of size, but JB's looks pretty scrappy.

 QUOTE:
I always get a little bothered by busts that have characters growing out of something like a chimney or crate, but I kind of dig this one.

I totally agreed with you until that BatGirl bust came out. Been hooked ever since.

I still can't get with the busts that are actual busts....(the ones that end at the bottom of the torso and the remainder of the sculpt being a thick stem). I'll pass.

Much as I admire Dodson's work, his designs for this series have thusfar
lacked the whimsey of Adam Hughes

THAT's what it is...LACK of WHIMSY! Nicely stated...
