Wow, that is sweet.  That's two Cap statues I need to get now, the other being the latest from Bowen Designs.

Garret how'd you get your hands on a Hal Jordan?  I heard they were next to impossible to get.

BastardGarett!!!
My appreciation of you showing pictures of JLU figures is
overshadowed by my shallow jealousy of your superior collection.
Bastard! :)   and     >:(

it's a custom.

Here is a picture of an actual one on display at the Mattel booth in San Diego.

As you can see it's a little different, but it's close enough for me (and a LOT cheaper to!)

I’m on a posting frenzy! This is my 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime I picked up a couple weeks ago.

I always thought it was a great toy, but the smoke stacks and his gun had always bothered me. When I found out that you could pick up custom stacks and a black gun, I was poorer but happier. Nostalgia had gotten the better of me again.

Is there a price guide of some kind that would help me with the rough estimate worth of the Bowen Marvel Mini Busts?

I've never bought them before but there some auctions on eBay from someone close enough I could pick them up and save on shipping. Prices are currently a low of under a buck and a high of over $79. I don't want to overbid on something when I could get a deal on something else since there are at least 10 that interest me.

Mike, I know of no official price guide on the Bowen busts, but have seen this website which keeps track of the going prices.  I am not sure how up-to-date it is as some of the newer pieces are not listed, but take a look:

Also, check the Bowen section at www.statueforum.com where prices and other things Bowen are discussed with vigor.

Thank you both for the links.

It will help for sure in my search for getting a few nice mini busts but not feel I'm going in blind. Sadly a lot of those statues I had my eye on last night have in some cases quadrupled in price to a cost out of my range for a first buy. Still a nice Sasquatch available at $7.50 I'm hoping to win in the next couple hours.

As with most things on ebay, the real bidding does not happen until the last few minutes.

I try to buy most of my Bowen busts through my LCS when they are released, but they do not stock one of everything.  So, there are times I miss out on one.

I have also found hitting some of the comic conventions a good place to get busts at a discounted price.  Best of luck in finding what you are looking for!
