Despite the spin he has chosen to put on it, there was never any guarantee of when he would receive the work or that he would like it when he did.
*** Would Golden feel more apologetic if he had delivered a stick figure Dr. Strange and deemed it "the work"?
There are some things that can go without saying --unless you are a scam artist.
The only relevant "spin" was put on this by Michael "no-one-tells-ME-how-fast-to-draw" Golden.

Just for fun, just imagine if that was Jim Warden saying this about John's work:
There will be no refund or further discussion. Mr. Turnbull has gotten what he asked for. Despite the spin he has chosen to put on it, there was never any guarantee of when he would receive the work or that he would like it when he did. Basically the same thinking and intentions are applicable to the work done for his compatriots. And, I trust I've made my point to anyone-else that is inclined to question my "professionalism".
Perhaps Renee and Mike are the Bizarro Jim and Bizarro John.

"Gerry -- do you recall exactly what you "asked for"? "
after a couple of enquiring emails Renee offered me the choice of
"Hi Gerry-- A conventnion sketch on 8 1/2 x 11 paper is $100. plus shipping. A larger sketch on 11x17 paper would be $200. plus shipping. " after negotiating a price of 500 i asked for a full 11x17 inked Dr Strange

You selfish, greedy, self-important bastard, you, Gerry! You should be
grateful to have received this priceless original. Top it off with a
personalized message from the artist himself -- well, most fans would
dream of getting what you got. Shame on you.

He doesn't even address the misspelling, or the fact that it's certainly not in kosher to have all these different character promoting "patience" - especially the Micronauts bad guy?!

you have to admit mr. murray is right. it is not so great if everybody
has the same kind of message in their drawing. mr. turnball does not
even have a one in a kind drawing now.

"as a collector, if you deal with reps like Jim Warden and Spencer Beck
on a constant basis, you get spoiled fast. These guys are so easy to
deal with regardless of how large or small the $$$ amount involved is.
If all reps were like these guys, we wouldn't be talking about this
stuff."
Very true. And good to see you posting again, Horace.
