11. has Beast proclaim without any reason he is gay!
A bit late on this point but what on earth is going on here!!! I've been reading X-Men comics for years and years butobviously not closely enough. Is the Beast still gay? When did he come out of the closet or perhaps wardrobe with the other fur coats? This is just nonsense. This is a prime example of the character just not being understood by writers. Hasn't Henry Mcoy been one of the most prolific shaggers in the MU. Sorry, but this is total bollocks.
Now to be glib for a minute and please don't anybody take offence at this...
Maybe Hank Mcoy (good gay sounding name) could shave just his top lip and have some sort of inverted no mustache but hairy body leather guy look. Sorry.

Suddenly I am reminded of the TIME review of the Richard Burton/Rex Harrison movie STAIRCASE, which described the lead characters as "an aging but still Gay couple". I read this and thought "you mean it wears off?"

Really annoyed the hell out of me when Wolverine tore off his brown costume, then wore his old yellow and blue one the next issue (which, btw, would seem to preclude the idea of him thinking of himself as looking like an idiot while in costume).

". . . you mean it wears off?"

Well, if you can be "cured" of it, that makes sense . . .

"12. has the X-Men reveal their link to the School for Gifted Youngsters."
I only know about any of those plot points from reading online reviews --
most of which made me think Morrison's X-Men must be awful. But that
#12 (quoted above) actually sounded like a good idea to me. It 's the one
thing I thought sounded cool: Professor X reveals to the world that he's a
mutant and that his school houses the X-Men.
It's almost an "illusion of change" type thing. On the surface it seems like
a huge shift in the status quo, but it's really just window dressing. I mean
if you go through any of the classic X-Men stories from the '60s, '70s or
'80s, you'll find only a handful where the plot really hinged on the school
being a "secret" headquarters, or the professor's mutancy being a
"secret." I thought that was a slick move on Morrison's part.
Of course, I've also been told that apparently there's an issue in which
Jean Grey uses her telekinesis to make the bad guys shit themselves,
literally. I don't think there's a word for how horrible I would feel if I
actually read that issue.

No he isn't. In fact, he never was. If some people actually read the stories they are bitching about they would know that Beast was never gay, and he only said that to hurt his ex-girlfriend who had just dumped him because he now looked like a big cat.
Also, complaining about Cyclops 'mercy-killing' Ugly John shows a tremendous lack of context, as Scott had been recently spent some time sharing his mind, and possessed, by Apocalypse. A story Morrison didn't write, but followed up on it.

You're welcome, Zaki. I have some problems with Morrison's run on NXM myself. But like I have read a few times here, and I agree, is that everybody has a right for an informed opinion. And I'm not seeing much of those when it comes to that run.
