Again, all PITT Brush pen, except for the webbing on Spider-Man's costume, and the loops of webbing in his hand.(I take my title from a wry comment Roger Stern made, years ago, to the effect that Ted Sallis is able to change back and forth between human and Man-Thing forms -- but, unfortunately, the Man-Thing is mindless, so it doesn't know that!)

Spider-Man looks great (so does the Man-Thing).  Your Amazing run is next on my list, JB.  Like Hidden Years, I only got the first 2 or 3 issues before my sabatical from comics.
Ergo, I did read all of Chapter One.

Cool.  Interestingly (or not), the Spider-Man/Man-Thing meeting was one of the themes I was considering as a commission before I ultimately decided on Spider-Man/Superman.
This cover has always stuck with me for some reason.  Love it...

That is the cover which the customer asked to be
 "reimagined".

That it is. Spider-Man's webbing functioned much
like Green Lantern's plasma in those days. He
started by making parachutes -- which was sort of
logical -- and pretty soon was making rafts, skis,
pretty much anything the story called for.

Much of this came from Ross Andru, I think. He was
a good artist, but at heart he was a DC guy.

Absolutely stunning, love the technique used for the background, very lush.  Also, although a small thing, quite subtle, I really like the way you have drawn Spider-Man's eyes, reminiscent of the way you drew them in the 70's, a look distinctly your own.

Have to say, as cool as the commission is, the lighting and mood in the original cover is nicely conveyed.  Did Dave Hunt ink that cover?

Not to change topics, but JB didn't you ink Andru once? I don't recall which work it was, but it seemed that you did.
