The only (and I mean only) downside to this commission is that I want to know how the rest of the story plays out! This story is begging for a full-issue treatment.

Wow! Absolutely my favorite of all of these. Double love for the Reed wrapped around Invisi-Sue. Also avoids the issue of whether to give her a 1961-style haircut!
This is set in the wreckage of the original space ship, right?

The only problem with this one is that it's too good.
Admittedly, now and again the bar must be raised, but this is simply
too much. From the concept the the apparent joy invested in
bringing the idea to fruition, there's simply too much goodness here
than any one page deserves.
It's time to call the law.

Dr. Doom and his time machine must be lurking
behind the scenes somewhere...
****
Funny you should say that. As I was working on this
one, it occured to me that it might make a good
basis for another "Art Challenge". What are the four
pages that go in front of this scene?
Who's game?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
This is heavy... a real twister of the mind... so many things to work out in the noggin...
I'm game, BUT there must be a full month for this challenge... as it is I have missed 2 already in the fan section...
btw... love it big time

Is there an accepted explanation of why the FF's appearence (really, Johnny and Ben's) changed since the accident? Did their molecules settle down, or something?

I'm going to suggest something along the lines of the original Contest of Champions wherein some Elders like the Gamesmaster (is that the name of the Elder who has a gambling problem - I forget) challenges someone like Kang or Immortus or a new Elder of the Universe to a bet as to who (which FF) would win in a duel. Meanwhile, Kang or Immortus has some ulterior motive to get one or both sets of FF to obtain some item or mission to further his devious plans. Gamesmaster gives the other FF a motive to stop the other FF from accomplishing their goal (stopping Doom from some diabolical plot or the Earth from some catastrophy).
It's down and dirty until the two Reeds figure out what's going on and end up frustrating the Elders' plans. Maybe the Reeds even switch places unbeknownst to everyone as older Reed shows younger Reed how to change his face to appear different.
Moment of emotion is the reveal young Susan gets when she finds out she ends up marrying Reed and has children with him. Maybe make it more pertinent in that young Susan is dating or considering dating Namor and she uses this to break if off with Namor.

Awesome!! What a great idea for a commission and even better excution! You were born to draw the FF! Unfortunatley, another JB's Challenge is a no go for me. Until my dislocated right wrist and broken elbow heal (well, maybe just the wrist(.
