I never presumed anything to John Byrne..read my posts WITHOUT  the sarcasm filters on.I also didnt imply John Byrne ONLY did Art for money, only once I was directed to  a commission page as his 'inspiration' , did I ASK if it was...., read it again..
You  guys who think I am attacking him have every right to your opinions, and thats all well and good..but the furthest from the truth.

While I do find  it a sociological amusement, the way the thread was derailed and somehow turned around to insult me and <gasp> my typing skills,I'm MORE saddened that my intentions were misconstrued..but such is the medium of internet message boards.

 Tuma: under construction.

 Michael Penn,
It seems NOTHING I  will be able to say will change YOUR assumption of  my intentions, here.
I think one way, you think another..My posts will stand on their own , and those who read them assuming I was attacking  will see them THAT way, and the others will not( and have not.)
There is no arguement to win here. I merely asked a  question, that JB perhaps feels is LOADED(?). Perhaps that explains  his problem with it, and why he just didnt answer it, straight forwardly. The ANSWER that I was "looking for" is one that was well worded and not a direction to another page.

I NEVER implied that money was his motivation..go back and read it...see the lil question mark...?

How hard is it to site inspiration? Wouldnt  it have been easier to say "Captain America/Spider-Man "etc, rather than point  to a commission list..? And what is one SUPPOSED to gather from that..?

I dunno..but BOY, was I told, huh? I mean, to attack the way I type? WOW.

 <shrug> Whatever.

 QUOTE:

Oh, here it is again! The incredibly selfish mantra of too many modern fans. "I have grown up! The comics should grow up, too!"

I kinda see it the other way around.  The industry is the way it is because of the majority of comic readers.  Time and again books have been cancelled due to lack of reader interest in keeping comics how they were before.  Someone who says something similar to what JB quoted up there is not being selfish, but rather justifying why comics had to change.  Selfish would be wanting to change it back to how the minority wants it to be at the expense of the comic reading majority.  A few hundred people on this board do not scratch the surface of what the comic reading majority clearly prefers.

"read my posts WITHOUT  the sarcasm filters on.I"

It would be easier to do that if you expressed yourself without such flippancy:

"I hope you can give an answer that  isnt along the lines of " I dont need anything to do it for me.." lol"

"Ummm..okaaaayy..

People asking you to draw them what  they want? Money?

Is it possible to get a straight answer out of you?? lol"

Sadowski:  You should relax and enjoy the fact you're at somebody's board who doesn't have to have a board at all.  If you don't like the answers, move on.

Doesn't sound like it.  Your questions sound loaded to me, too.

I can see where you're coming from Stephen, but you're fighting a losing battle.
