Is John Byrne and Jim Aparo not an awesome art combo? More of same would have been very nice, at least to finish this story. Too bad the timing of the plots, and JB's schedule didn't work out.

This mini series is what led me to discover back issues when I was first starting the hobby as a youngster. I had the issue where Batman was hanging on the windshield of the Batmobile and Robin was driving. I think that's how it went. Anyway, there was obviously more to the story and I began the process of learning there was such a thing as a back issue. My parents weren't particularly supportive of comics and my friends didn't read them so it took me some time to figure out that there were actual comic shops where you could try and get fill-in's to a particular run. I still remember continually going to the newstand and liquor store hoping they would magically, arbitrarily get in the issue I was looking for. I didn't know the darn things went in order! I think I was around 5 years old at the time so I'm usually not too hard on myself about it. LOL.
