Darren- I really am amazed at the drawing ability here. Especially killer are -Spidey’s feet, the individual toes you can see with the hatching of the boots -the boot wrinkles above the heal. -the way Spideys calf is flexed – the most impressive is the hand holding the webbing. -Red Sonja WOW! Your anatomy work is great.
George- Went the extra mile with the cool coloring job!! -Very Dynamic posing of the characters -Spideys pose is great and in character -The way the webbing is bunched up in Spidey’s hand looks cool -Red Sonja looks great, real nice curves and beautiful face, I like your use of “gravity” on her. Very good illustration!
Marcus – Good job framing the action with the use of your darks – I like the depth you create with the foreground hands – You created a good feel of a bloody melee - nice action poses -Red Sonja has a good determined expression.
I thought there would be more… oh well.
Great effort from all who picked up the pencil. It was a hoot to work on and I welcome any critiques. You know, I took a lot from the crits of the Captain America challenge, and applied those lessons to this challenge, and it seemed to help. So thanks.
Guys, thanks for the encouragement and kind words… Flavio I am glad you liked the inks, your comments made my day, and thanks for the impossible comparison to Austin. He is THE INKER in my book.

Steve, thanks for the kind words. I love your perspective and detailed textures of the background. Your figure work is really nice and that is a great Red Sonja. I, too, am disappointed in the turnout of artists. I hope we get to do this again.

Thank you to everyone who grovelled at my feet... thank you, thankyouverymuch... huh-hu...
My pick would be Darren's... just because spidey is sticking to Sonja's assets... nice...
so what is the next chosen scene to continue the fun?
and can we shorten the December fun to say dec-17-2006... due to the maddness of the holidays...

Wow, fantastic job everyone. November was to busy for me to find the time to sit down and do it justice. I should have a panel up before Tomorow.

And Orlando...it's your choice of scene next. So choose wisely!

No pressure, right? I hope this panel is enough to challange us. The Future X-men have just escaped from the concentration camp, fought off some Sentinels and are on the way to the Baxter building. The challange is to make this panel into a cover or pin-up as an alternative to the classic X-men 141 cover. If this is not what you guys had in mind, I can find another.

There you go people, the gauntlet has been thrown down.
Let's stick to "Cover" rather than "Pin-up" on this one. So leave room for 'copy' (include the "Uncanny" title if you so wish!)
So you have -this- scene to 'adapt' into a cover.
Deadline for this, I'm going to put as Monday the 18th of December. So that gives everyone a little over a fortnight.
Everyone have fun and if the results are -anything- like the last lot...well, this should prove to be a great Christmas present!
Good luck.

When you say "scene" do you mean this specific panel of talking heads? Are we supposed to reinterpret the figures standing around talking, or are we supposed to adopt the whole scene (in which case, ought we not show the WHOLE scene to be reinterpreted?)?
Colour me confused.
