Here is my re-make cover of Alpha Flight #9.
Unfortunately I only finished pencils for I participated in the 2nd Annual JB Art Challenge too.

Here's mine, I cheated a little and did an Omega Flight cover.
Here's a detail scan:
I had to include my favorite villain, Magneto. I think Box is fixin' to have a bad day ; )
Thanks for a fun assignment Greg, heck I've enjoyed them all so far!
If Darren doesn't post a new assignment today, I'll have one ready this evening.

Steve I love this, are you using a brush on these inks?
The variation in textures from Magneto's cape,to his belt, to the metal girders, to Smart Alec's helmet to Box's body really stands out!

Thanks for the nice comments. Hunter- I used a Hunts 104 or 102 nib, I'm not sure which one it was.
Well, since I haven't seen Darren post an assignment, I'll fire off mine.
This one will be due the last day of March. Create a montage focusing on a X-Men character (hero or villian). Here's your inspiration:

This example you used of JB's work is very inspiring!
I love this piece! I still don't have an idea yet but X-Men characters are flying through my brain! Great assignment!
