What or who is your avatar and why did you choose it?
**********************************
Why don't you say what or who is your avatar first, Jo? ;-)
Anyway, I change my avatar every month, maybe today.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma with avatars - I am very wary of revealing too much of my identity online for all the obvious reasons and as we have to use our proper names here I feel quite exposed. On the other hand I do like to have the 'real' me in my avatar - Narcissus demands a true image (lol) - so I compromised with this shot of my eyes - its taken from a cover I noodled round with for a comicbook short based on the story of Shaherazade - hence the tattoed eyebrows and niqab courtesy of Photoshop!
Of course now that all this stuff with Jack Straw has blown up the image has added piquancy but I prefer to think of it representing some ninja feminist (lol) rather than anything devout.

Mine is Grand Admiral Thrawn from the Zahn Starwars novels.
I tried to make a Blue M&M with red eyes, so I could joint Mietus and Bodin with the M&M avatars, but it looked like crap.
Thrawn has been my internet handle since 96, so when I decloaked here, I kept it as a tribute to the past.
My Sig, tho is self explanitory....thinking about editing it, now that Yankees fans must endure another October without a World Series championship.

Mine is a statue of The Leader. I forget which JBFer posted the original selections many moons ago. I think it was over at the old Net54 board. I've had it for a couple of years now and I told myself I wouldn't change it until I hit 1000 posts. Then I'll search for another bad guy because it's all about the villains. Every hero is only as good as his villains make him.

Naaaah. But I have been known to swear in an alien language at work. And they really can't complain if I use a Stitch image on my computer desktop either...since I work for Disney.

My avatar is J2 from the MC2 universe (thats Marvel Comics 2). They came up with it about 8 years ago, I only recently got into it, and have been eating it up. J2 is the son of the original Juggernaut, but isn't quite as powerful, so they call him the almost unstoppable J2. What intrigues me about this character is that he truly loves being a superhero. He loves the action, the adventure, the comaradary, and the beat-down of supervillains that deserve it. I think this is very much like I would be with superpowers, thus...

A European fruit machine. I like these machines. I am a member of an online club called www.lomography.com. We take pictures of ecerything tasteless and without thinking with Russian Lomo Kompakt cameras and it successors.
Here is another shot with a camera called Supersampler. It takes four shots like this. This special picture is featured in a book shipping with the latest edition of the camera, the Dalek edition.
