Glad to have at least someone agreeeing with me on that. :)

It's just life, Jo... full of irony 'tis. ;)

My avatar is the Batman saying what would be on my mind should the boy wonder proudly dispay his new outfit to me.

I just liked this interchange.

D-

Great topic.

Kevin, I saw someone with the same avatar on 2+2.com

Are you a trout?

Todd

Um, no.  I'm a Chicago Bears fan.

Kevin yours is very clever - did you make it yourself?

No, it's something I literally "stumbled" across one night and decided I liked it enough to use.   I've yet to find anything else that's equally as unique.

Kevin,

2+2 is a poker players website, and trout are what they call the fish that eat all the little fish (i.e. the bad players).

Good year to be a Bears fan, so far!

This guy, Jo?

His name is Gary Mitchell and he acquired groovy voice-booming powers in an episode of 'Star Trek'.

Donald what is Batman saying? My peepers aren't up to the job.

Yes, Dan that's the feller - eww creepy eyes now visible!

Wasn't he the one who went a bit bonkers in the nut, absolute power corrupting absolutely?

I find it mildly ironic that I am in the position of defending the use of the veil when I totally abhor it's rationale, but that's life!

*******

Yeah rabid sexism is OK as long as it's part of a (non - Western and therefore ethnic) tradition and culture....

(Shall I bung in a smiley here?)

If you like ;)

You may misunderstand me though - I am opposed to sexism in any culture, I do not defend the veil, I do defend a woman's right to dress as she pleases, from mini skirts to hijabs, without fear of hostility or physical assault.
