I figured I would give this a go since everybody else is.  Two obstacles stood in my way, first, I haven't tried anything like this in over 25 years (depressing in itself) and two I only had one free day to try it as I'm off to Spain for a week on Tuesday.  Today was the day and I'm finally finished.  I'm also totally shattered.

My respect for JB has increased considerably for his ability to produce the quantity of work and the quality he has maintained on a daily basis over the last 30 plus years, however, if I never see that Skull machine again it will be too soon.

I kid with the last part and look forward to seeing what everybody else comes up with, I wish you all the best of luck with it.

Charles, JB may not have done a 24 hour story but if you want to take a look at the 3 day Spider-Man that he mentioned earlier, that would be Amazing Spider-Man 206 from 1980.

I am such a moron, i didnt realize  I was being quoted!  This is the first and only forum that  I have belonged to and  been active in , such as my short JBF  membership has been. So i  had a blonde moment n i didnt  get it. THANK YOU so much for explaining it to me. I apreciate the  help, it appears i need it.

I bought Amazing Spiderman #206 thanks to your suggestion, and WOW! JB youre awesome for a 3 day work.

I am almost finished with my 2 pages and I have a question- should areas of all black be "colored in" or denoted with an "X" as u said it should be penciled as if its being handed off to an inker??

Thanks again,
Charles

Sorry Charles, I think that was me confusing you. John had said to do as much or as little as you see fit (to paraphrase him).

Which in itself should answer your question.

Hope that helps,

Darren.

I lurk here almost every day and missed this thread. I would like to give it a stab if it's not too late. Does it have to be penciled and inked or just penciled?

Nathaniel, just to recap:

"Do as much or as little as you like. Just do your best "-JB

"Come up with the two pages that immediately precede this "cover scene" --

Sweet!  I am really looking forward to seeing the results of this!  Perhaps this can lead to other art challenges using other commissions of JB.
