I just got last week's comics yesterday! Then I'll be back tomorrow for this week's books, I guess.

SUPERGIRL & THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES -- I didn't think I would like the addition of Supergirl. Imagine my surprise at finding the book more interesting since she showed up!

52 -- Better and better. So far the experiment is working on me.

GREEN LANTERN -- I usually get restless with cosmic adventures, as I prefer stories that have something resembling a real-life context. This one is an exception. Easily one of my favorite books.

TEEN TITANS -- It breaks my heart that JB's version of the Doom Patrol has been overwritten by the team we're seeing in TT. That said, the characters are recognizable to me and I like how the story is progressing. Not so sure about the "new" Rita. I still wish I knew what JB had planned for her, and what revelations were in store regarding The Chief.

There have been a couple of mentions of the Fantastic Four:  Death in the Family 1 shot, but I don't think anyone has mentioned that it contains a reprint of a JB FF issue, 242, "Childhood's End."

This probably deserved a mention as a JB release for May.

Does anyone know the story behind this 1 shot?

Fantastic Four: Death in the Family felt like a leftover fill-in issue. There was nothing wrong with the story, but it would have been more effective as part of the regular title. Presented the way it was, you could see where the story was going from a mile away.

Regarding Teen Titans, I'm hoping that the Chief is being presented the way he is to redeem his actions from the Morrison run. I'm not sure why this is necessary though, since Superboy-Prime punched that away at some point, but whatever.

I received the impression that they wanted to bring some of that back (only a bit) based on some of the comments in Teen Titans.
