52 #3 -- Probably my last issue of this. I'm not enjoying it at all. There's something about the format of the series that's maddening, where every few pages, they jump forward another day. I feel more like I'm getting small glimpes of a story rather than the whole story.
Green Lantern #11 -- Ivan Reis... the same artist two issues in a row. I hope they can keep him around awhile, at least for the entire storyline.
And the following, which I didn't see last week in my visit to the comic shop:
Superman: Strange Attractors TP- My first time reading this issues, so I'm looking forward to it.

Also picked up(on a whim) Batman: Strange Apparitions TPB(from 1999), reprinting the Englehart/Simonson/Rogers issues of Detective comics. Found it on the shelf and had to give it a new home, it had apparently been forgotten.

Hawkgirl 52 by Walt Simonson and Howard Chaykin: great issue, one of my favorite books these days.
New Excalibur 7 by Chris Claremont and Michael Ryan, dialogues by Chris Yost: Black Tom is himself again at long last :) Great Issue. One of the best so far for this good serie.
Nextwave 5 by Warren Ellis and Stuart Immonen: not read yet.
Thunderbolt 102 by Fabian Nicieza and Tom Grummet. not read yet and not on my list, but i liked the previous issue.
Loveless tradepaperback by Brian Azzarello and Marcelo Frusin: not read yet

A question for readers who pick up both UXM and New Excalibur, which would you say represents Claremont's best work? (Of the two I
only pick up UXM at present.)

That depend of the reader. and of the issue.
Me i prefer(ed *sob*) Uncanny, but New Excalibur have a greater potential, Claremont will certainly have more creative freedom on New Excalibur that he had during his recent run on uncanny.
If you never read New Excalibur, give it a chance. This week's issue is a very good one. It's the second part of the two part arc with Black Tom Cassidy, who is writen in-character for the first time in yeeeeaaaars! And it explain too that during the silly "child-murdering tree" story by Austen, he wasn't himself. It fix the problem that lot of people had with the character in recent years. Black Tom is human again, and there's a great scene betwen him and the Juggernaut. As a whole, this is a great Juggernaut issue too.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Stephane. Since Claremont's run on
UXM is drawing to a close, I am looking around for a new title written
by him. I know about New Excalibur, of course, and I remember
hearing that he's to take over Exiles and bring Psylocke with him,
and there's something else X-related too, but maybe that was a mini-
series. Since his health scare a few months ago, however, it seems
uncertain when he'll be writing books fulltime again. I hope he's getting
better because it's been a shame that he couldn't finish scripting his
current Uncanny run.

Boy, what's with all the homosexual subtexts? Secret Six has 2 chicks kissing, Titans has some sort of weird gay-beastiality thing going on. Remember when this stuff was only implied?

Okay, I read Titans, and I have no idea what you are talking about. The story seemed fine to me. And as far as as I can remember I have seen couples kissing in comics.

look 2 chicks kissing is just fanboy titillation-- even if Gail didn't intend it to be as such (& I'm pretty sure she didn't, based on other books of hers that I've read) but it's just going to lead to Image-like, well, images, for which the fanboys can get their jerkjollies.
As to the Titans, in the previous issue it became known that the Brain & Monsiuer Mallah were more than just friends.

Just a reminder, because of the holiday, new books will not be out until Thursday, so "The Pull List" will be posted on Thursday of this week.

This actually goes all the way back to Morrison's run.

Ok, I see where you are going with that about the Brain and Monsiuer Mallah I guess. It just didn't even occur to me at all. I honestly thought you were referring to the one picture where Beast Boy changes to stop Ravager. Then I thought you were stretching with the whole bestiality thing. I suppose I can see your point, I just can't believe I was so clueless to that before.
As far as two women kissing. I have to disagree with you there. I think you are reading a bit too much into it. I see women kissing all the time, and I hardly believe they are doing it for my benefit. (Though wouldn't it be nice if they were.) It is still a reflection of life. We can ignore it, and pretend it doesn't it exist just so a minority of people won't giggle like a butt head. Or we can go on with the stories and ignore the minority of people that will be turned on. I vote for good stories and ignoring the other people.

After a pal introduced me to his work, I bought my first Dan Slott comics (latest She Hulk). Great job, I'll be checking the trade and the back issues for a change.
(Bought also Wolverine. Great to have a Wolverine doing actually something and not raging about his previous spy/ninja/samurai/gangster/pimp life). I'll follow it !
