Thing is, I don't remember even seeing DU on the
stands the year it came out.

***

Many retailers refused to order the book. "Byrne's
stuff doesn't sell." Self-fulfilling prophecy. Others
ordered only a few copies and, months before
receiving the first issue, slashed the orders on 2, 3
and 4.

Thus, DU became the first of my books to be
assasinated by the Direct Sales Market. You know --
the market that was known for helping books find an
audience?

This is a fantastic page. Thanks again for sharing John and special thanks to the buyer who ordered  this commission. I will be coming back to see this one quite a bit. Nice to see the whole team together again.

Another incredible piece, makes me wish DU was still seeing print.

Actually, this is the FIRST time we've seen the WHOLE team together! That's why I thought it'd make a cool commission :)

Great piece of art.  Is Danger Unlimited collected in a book form?  If not, how many issues were there?  I've been thinking about checking it out.  Thanks.

There's a trade paperback that collects all 4 issues(with the extra pages that didn't see print), and the DU short story from the San Diego Con.  You can also find it in a limited Hardcover signed by JB.

That is true Nathan. Congrats on the commission. It really is nice to see John draw these characters again.

Thanks!  Does that have everything?  Or will I need to pick up some other issues?

Is it just my knowledge of the character's human identity, or does JB actually make the craggy creature that is Belabet look feminine somehow?  Anyway, I'll be rereading my issues of DANGER UNLIMITED tonight!
