Bob Robertson: You have no idea how proud I am
that I have generated this much hate.

Jackass.

Now that is a straw man.

There are disagreements with him in this thread and many threads-the Superman Returns threads (and  most comic movie threads etc).

You could have disagreed but mostly you name called or missed the point of what he wrote.

Like the screenwriting thing- "I kinda agree, but then many go back and forth well".  Ok, but the post from JB, agree with it or not, was not about the ones who do it well. It was about the ones who treat a comic and movie script the same.  So you could disagree "They should be the same." or "No one does that."  Instead you say "but look, here are a bunch of guys who work well in film and comic." Which has nothing really to do with the point.

This just in from the original writer of the post.

Hello, I'm the man that made that first post and I'd like to make a few things clear.

Our forum is mostly humorous, hence the ass and the blatant insults. We mock people and comics and generally act like assholes in good humour but out of context we look bad I concede.

But I did want someone to respond to point 4. How can John Byrne of all the people in comics complain about radical shake-ups? Byrne is famous for his ret-cons be they well recieved like the doombot idea or almost universally hated like the Doom Patrol relaunch. How can Byrne with a straight face say that it is not okay to radically shake-up a long running title when he erased 40 years of Doom Patrol comics from history? It is hugely hypocritical.

So please Byrne or anyone here address this point.

C'mon, let's have a civil, intelligent discussion on the internet.

Anyone? No? Okay.

Chuck, this is not representative of the site. Most of us can engage in discussion, even argument, without devolving to the puerile depths of a troll or flame-baiter. I hope you'll stick around-- this place comes up with some really interesting threads and diverse opinions. Most of the time, we manage to keep it civil.
