The best thing that JQ and BMB can do with Alpha FLight is to stay FAR AWAY from it.

Darren,

You're too kind. Stay away from Marvel would be best.

It reminds me of the "Dead is dead" notion given by the same JQ a few years ago, and his "explanations" regarding the coming back of dead characters a few weeks ago.

****

People change their minds, markets change, and sometimes good reasons come up.

He's not locked into a statement he said 5 years ago simply because its on the internet

As for BMB, if he disappeared, Marvel would lose their most popular writer.

Why? Did someone handcuff Joss Whedon to Bendis?

Rob,

I understand your statement.

However,

upon reading the week 36 of JQ interview at Newsarama, I stumbled when reading that his words "dead is dead" were wrongly understood, as he meant something different (and from there putting 5/6 reasons never heard before for which this won't apply). I call this a (rather late, and bad) back-pedalling.

I guess he also had a list with different reasons when explaining the cancellation of Hidden Years.

(and yes, Elektra is dead)

No, Bendis just writes many key books, from New Avengers, to House of M, to pfor a time Ultimate FF, Ultimate Spider-man-100 issues, Daredevil, to Secret War, to other things.

and then one guy wrote 12 issues of one X-men book.

And three network TV series each with a strong cult following and a really fun movie that no one watched. You did not specify comic book writer!

But I was mostly joking. Although I will say that with the books you list above, with the exception of maybe Daredevil, the characters or events are as much, if not more, of a draw as the writer.

Alpha Flight is back!! And John Byrne is the writer and artist with full artistic license and a humdinger of a number 1 story!! And he's coming back to Fantastic Four AND Avengers??

Sorry, having a mad moment there. What if I am Mad and just imagine I am loosing my marbles in infinites!! Better get my head together else worlds will live, worlds will die and Bobby Ewing will be appearing in my shower.

Ok, back to my nice cosy, padded cell. You can put down the stick officer!! HELP!!
