I searched under Doom Patrol and the last mention I see of them was in a thread that closed on January 20th. I'm surprised that no one posted their reactions to the published version of the book and it's contents.
Spoilers space in case anyone doesn't want to know
It appears that all versions of the Doom Patrol are valid. Geoff Johns has managed to keep everything leaving us with a Doom Patrol that is pretty much John Byrne's Doom Patrol except the Chief had his beard turn Gray.
What do you think? Merging all the Doom Patrol histories into one? Is it too much? Not enough?
I'm happy to see Byrne Patrol continue especially since they can now interact with characters from the rest of the Doom Patrol's rich history.

I actually wish John's Doom Patrol was continuing, but that's not what you're actually talking about.
It's nice that they kept the uniforms, Grunt, and Nudge.

I think we need to wait until INFINITE CRISIS is finished before assuming that all versions of the Doom Patrol are valid, or that all the histories have been merged into one.
Remember how merging all the versions of Hawkman into one didn't come CLOSE to solving the problems with that character? I'm not so sure DC would make that same mistake again.

It couldn't be all valid, because the Chief from Morrison's run is a villain.

I wonder will a certain four armed gorilla suddenly become a perfectly cool idea if <insert "Hot Writer" name here> gets to write him?

Havent read the issue yet. So I will have to wait to pass judgement. Geoff is a personal favorite of mine so I'm hoping for the best. Glad to hear JBs DP wasn;t erased. A lot of potential there, but I'm sad JB wont be the guy to exploit it.

The one character from the past runs (outside of the originals) that I think would have really fit in with John Byrne's version was Dorothy Spinner. I think JB would have had a lot of fun with the character.

I hate that JB's Doom Patrol had to end, after all the DP were the only Super-Heroes based here in Florida.

I thought it was pretty weak, myself. Johns is a pretty good writer but I read that bit and thought "what the f*ck?" Slamming all these variant DP histories together just recreates the problems (in a nutshell) that the original Crisis introduced all those years ago. It's a way of saying "hey, look at this! i'm showing you EXACTLY WHY THE CRISIS WAS A BAD IDEA!" and in the process, screws up the characters even more.
Waste of time and paper.

I could be wrong here, but I suspect that DC will wind up keeping the Doom
Patrol that includes The Chief, Robotman, Negative Man and Elasti-Woman.
And, if this is the case, we have JB to thank. I thoroughly enjoyed Morrison's
DP when I picked up the issues back in the late 1990s because I was
enjoying his take on the JLA. But it is nice to have the clock reset with the
original DP concept back. And, again, since JB helmed the reboot, we have
him to thank for this.

Unfortunately, I read a group interview this afternoon (European time!) that says they will make Morrison's Doom Patrol THE Doom Patrol. Geoff Johns will do that. At least they implied that....
With Morrison as one of the people in charge of the new DC Universe it is highly likely that this is the case.

Where is that interview? If it was the WonderCon panel, I don't think that was implied at all.
