VOGUE FASHION REPORT
Well, things are certainly looking up this Spring, with both the Amazing Spiderman and the Mysterious Spiderwoman heading the way in crimson and gold...this seasons HOT colours.
Notice the crisp crimson and how well it complements the vibrant red, just the colours for this years fashion conscious young superhero. Sleek fitting slim fit lines, enhance musculature and physique, so you won't be catching Fred T.Dukes in this ensemble. Spidermans outfit seems to have a claw motif going on, but as to their functionality? Still its always handy to have an extra arm or 2. Do we see the influence of Otto Octavius here??
The hand of Hydra(as opposed to head) may be seen in the ladies outfit, but we detect subtle tones of Van Dyne in there somewhere. Critics may say that this close matching of the uniforms for our heroes is a bit twee, but Susan Richards has long emulated her male colleagues look.
And lest we forget this trend has happened before, with a redheaded Spiderwoman...was this the same Spiderwoman or Spiderman for that matter?? This Black and White look was hot in the nineties.
What did Spiderwoman use to dye her hair??
Why has Spidey swung from 1 end of the colour spectrum to the other??
SOME THINGS WILL NEVER CHANGE: The figure hugging look is still there. Rumour has it that Janet Van Dyne and Sue Richards have suggested capes for the Spider duo at a recent poker game at the Baxter Building, but that Anthony Stark has had the Red and Yellow Brand licensed to Stark enterprises.
Next issue we visit Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne in the Hamptons to discuss his new expanding underwear, available in 3 sizes , small, medium and large.
