I like the Hulk being only slightly larger than the average human, maybe 7-8 feet tall. Same goes for the Juggernaut.

Where do you suppose the extra 800 pounds of Hulk goes when he changes back to Banner? I can see cells dividing and producing a bigger being, but when he changes back, where does it go? We never see Banner standing in a puddle or excess living tissue converted to energy. What's the prevailing thought on this issue?

My thought is that I don't think about it.  It's one of the conceits of the character and, really, one of the conceits of comic books in general.  I've always just accepted that Banner turns into Hulk and Hulk turns back into Banner without thought to where he gets or looses his muscle mass.  It just is and I'm fine with that.

David, I'm 6'3" tall. I'm taller than the average man. Someone who is over
a foot-and-a-half taller than me is more than "slightly larger" than the
average human. That's pretty darn big.

I remember reading a Bio on the Hulk on marvel.com a couple of years ago and thought it was cool when they were listing weapons that heroes and villians use and for the Hulk they wrote, "The Hulk is a living, breathing, engine of destruction."

Regarding the Thing's variable sizes, I'd become so accustomed to him being so large that I did a double-take when I was flipping through a reprint from early in the Lee-Kirby run and saw him about the same height as Reed.

This thread reminded me of this little incident, where a family claims the
doll came as pictured.

I pretty much thought it was a hoax.

I like how the little girl has an expression like, "Oh Hulk, what am I ever going to do with you?"

The Thing is about 5'10" or 11.  He is more broad than anything else.

The Hulk approx. 7'6" or about the height of Yao Ming w/ a couple more hundred pounds of muscle.

I remember Ben flying on a commercial plane (in a story by JB).  The Hulk one is news to me.
