I confess my shame, I don't know how to post links.
*****************
The first address doesn't work. Searching the thread titles for the second one now.
Mike, all I do is highlight the address, copy it, and then paste it in the message.

Just as easy to make a link a hyperlink (meaning that it's active when you click on it). Go up to the address bar in your browser for the page you want to link to. Copy the entire address. In your post here, click on the earth/chain link button above the body of your post (if you just pass your cursor over it, it's the one that says "Add Hyperlink"). Paste the address where it says "URL", hit "OK" and bingo! Instant hyperlink.
You can even get fancy by highlighting text. Let's say you wanted to add a hyperlink to FOX's X3 website, but didn't want a long URL in your post. Just type "X3 Official Site" and highlight that text. Next, click on the earth/chain link button, paste the address to the X3 site in where it says "URL", hit "OK" and bingo! The text "X3 Official Site" is now a hyperlink.

<< and a woman who calls herself Aunt May but who lives
in Avengers mansion and wears Iron Man armor*.>>
Someone just mentioned that to me this morning and, I
swear, I thought it was a joke! Boy! She should have
stayed dead!

Yeah, I thought it was all a dream or a joke too, Howard. The more I hear about this "The Other" story, the more I feel like I'm listening to someone describe a "What If..." mini-series...except that it's all true.

It's weird to see some of the same criticisms being thrown at PAD that are constantly shoved in the direction of JB. It's as if they just had interchangable names in some of the attacks.
edited to add: And after reading the first page and a hlaf of the first thread Mike offered, I have to say he deserves every bit of it. He seems downright insulted that someone would have the nerve not to buy his book and then tell him the reason they don't want to buy it. Geeze. This is the first thing I've ever read that David had posted on a forum. It may not be the last, but I sure ain't gonna be looking for anything else.

Can anyone tell what's happening on the page
posted above? I know Latveria's not the cheeriest
place in the world, but the whole page is just a wash
of brown and red. Murky coloring combined with
unclear storytelling on the artist's part (could anyone
tell what was going on here without Spider-Man
saying "Look, an open window!" and his
announcement that a fish was attacking him?)...and
this is SPIDER-MAN. If Marvel's going to publish one
book that's kid-friendly, it should be Spider-Man.
One of the most recognizable cartoon characters in
the world, one who can sell toys, underoos,
toothpaste and pretty much anything else, star of
Saturday morning cartoons since the 1960s--and
he's starring in convoluted, poorly-executed comics
that feature him getting his eyes eaten, murdering
people with his claws and finding out that his college
sweetheart had a thing for older supervillains. I'm
not saying that Amazing Spider-Man has to read the
same as Spidey Super-Stories, but Spider-Man
shouldn't scare the hell out of kids (or adults) either.

Wow... I haven't seen that level of HARSHNESS on a message board in a
long time.
Now I remember why I've pretty much limited myself to just this one!

Yeah, comicon.com can be pretty rough. Looking back, there are sometimes when I think I was too harsh in my comments. Which is what makes me appreciate places like this where the discussion, even when heated, stays pretty much on the high road.
I do think places like comicon.com are useful as a way to peek into the conscious and subconscious animosity that exists between fans and pros and amongst those two groups.
