The other night, my friend- the same one I had the "Would this be in the movie?" conversation with- and I were talking about how we can't even possibly think of what they'll do to Spider-Man next, because each and every thing JMS has done to the character has been so much more awful and removed from what the character should be than the last thing he did. What I'm trying to say, Fabrice, is at this point, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see that as a real solicitation for a Spider-Man comic within the next few months.

I'm waiting for Spider-Man to realize that he's been pysically dead for centuries and is currently just a brain in a canister on Xandar being used to train new generations of super heroes in what it's like to be unappreciated via a telepathically controlled virtual reality.
What could possibly make me love and respect the character more than that?
Then over in DC Batman can start collecting fingers from anyone he beats and start experimenting with hallucinogens to expand his mind so some famous British comic writers can think he is cool. Eventually Pa is away on business and things get so bad that Travis has to put his beloved Batman down with the family rifle. But at least he comes of age.

It gets better (Spoilers follow....)
Jason, please tell me you are making this up, it just can't be true....
If it is, then the creators and editors are seriously damaged, and so are all the asshole fans who will stand by this stupidity.
