Big week for me; I read the first three at lunch today.
DOOM PATROL: Shocking ending! How is JB going to wrap this up in one issue? How am I going to get through the month without DP? Aaaauuugh!
DEFENDERS: A fun diversion with a couple of moments that made me cringe. I don't like the Banner-smells jokes and the indications that Umar is getting busy with the Hulk. As always, tho, Maguire's art makes me happy.
NEW THUNDERBOLTS: My last remaining ongoing Marvel book. This two-part battle with the New Avengers didn't do much for me, and indeed only made me more miserable about the current state of the Avengers. Cap plus Iron Man plus a bunch of other random folks does not equal the Avengers to me. I crave Vision, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Wasp, Hank Pym, Thor, Hercules, Wonder Man ... you know, the Avengers.
JSA CLASSIFIED: I like Power Girl, and not just because of them.
SOLO: The Mike Allred issue. Picked this up on a whim.
LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES: I have no strong connection with the Legion, having only read a bit of the Great Darkness Saga and their appearances in JB's Superman issues. Maybe because I come to the book with little baggage, I am enjoying this re-vamp an awful lot. Anyone else reading it?
