Catherine Zeta Jones is the best Wonder Woman available right now.

I'd accept Angelina Jolie, but she'd have to pretend to be Audrey Hepburn until it was time to fight.  She's too kick-ass sexy, and Wonder Woman should have a softness to her.  Linda Carter just owns that role to such a degree though.  I can't think of anyone to top her.

I think Catherine Zeta Jones would have made a dynamite Wonder Woman
ten years ago.

CZJ is "only" 5'8" and does not have the bosom to be Wonder Woman.  Let's face it, we need a woman who is at least a 38DD and 5'10" to at least LOOK like WW.  Lynda Carter was a 36D and 5'9", by the way.....

JB, did you ever have the same problem with George Reeves as you did with Christopher Reeve after the first "Superman" movie?

****

I have only ever seen George Reeves in "Adventures of Superman". (Yes, folks, the ol' Civil War buff has never seen "Gone with the Wind".)

JB, and everyone else: Thanks for not making fun of my incorrect spelling of the two lovely ladies' names.

****

The circumstances under which I will reference somebody's spelling are few and far between. I will go in with guns blazing if someone declares themselves to be "the world's biggest Spiderman fan", for instance. But mostly I pull spelling errors only when they are actually useful, as when our own Mike O'Brien accidentally coined the handy word "psychophant".

When you see your own name misspelled as often as I do, it tends to form heavy scars, protecting against just about anything!

Okay, I'll say the name everyone has been thinking, but not mentioning:

Anne Hathaway.

Begin discussion/disection.

Joan Severence would have been the perfect Wonder Woman for me, once upon a time....

Angelina Jolie I absolutely love, she could easily play the part (she is an ambassador in real life!), but unfortunately, we won't see her....

Morena Baccarin is 5' 7¾" and 26 years old which seems ideal. She is a good actress, she has the Brazilian look that could be interpreted to meditarrean or better yet Greek (just trust me on this, guys!), she is a part of the Whedon crew and finally could be considered a nearly unknown actress.

I sincerely hope Morena gets the role.

I thought she was itty-bitty. Okay, I'll change my mind. Thanks for the info,
Thanos.

Mmmm... I do love me some Morena Baccarin...
