The very name Space Force seems threatening. Why not Earth Defence or something else less agressive?

You are talking about an administration that renamed the Department of Defense to the Department of War. But to be fair, we already had the US Air Force, and Space Force is just an extension of that and the US Armed Forces.

I can't find it now, but there is an image going around of the proposed Canadian Space Agency uniform. It's just an X-Wing pilot uniform with the Maple Leaf instead of the Rebellion half moon.
