Not my math, but I saw someone post online that today marks 50 years since the appearance of John Byrne's first published work at Marvel.

50 years! Typically Gold is the gift for that anniversary. That's deserving of an 18k gold plaque (maybe even 22!)

It’s an incredible number. It’s also incredible to think that Marvel lives more fully in your recent fan-fic than at the actual company. It’s like the people in Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451” who are the living library— after 50 years, the men and women who were at Marvel when it was glorious have become all that’s left of Marvel.
