Now I want to read a Gulacy Doc Savage story.
Based on his Master of Kung Fu work, it would be amazing.

Art Adams is well known for his women, apes, and even teams. Here's some men I never (or hardly ever) see him draw.

Art Adams may have the most precise ink line this side of Bolland.

I kind of agree, Daniel, but I'm also very conflicted about it. In a technical sense, it really is a beautiful image, but at the same time, I feel as if the pose and the facial expression diminishes the character--as if it's too human. As if it loses the detachment (?) and grandeur that Kirby depicted in that first three-parter.I can't really put a firm finger on my response, and I'm not really sure if I'm expressing it well either. Whatever my response might be, however, I keep coming back here to look at the picture.

Technically it's not Batman but it's cool to see him done in Moebius' style.
"Ratman" by Moebius, from Penthouse Comix #7, May 1995.
(Edited to remove images. I don't think we need the whole thing to get the idea, Derek -- Tim)

Yeah, Art Adams has done a bit of Batman in the past, but I've never seen him on most of these villains!

I always loved this piece by Marshall Rogers. Sure, his Batman is well-known, but look at all those other heroes! I would have loved to see a series with his version of the Sandman! Or Vigilante! Or Blackhawk! Or Dr. Fate! Even his Mary Marvel is among the best I've ever seen!

Marhsall Rogers on just one issue of FREEDOM FIGHTERS or SUPERMAN would have been incredible.
