Why does his Gaza Strip plan remind me of Luthor's plan in Superman The Movie? Prime real estate turned into a resort?

A cousin posted "All these people irate at Elon Musk. Why? He’s discovered so much fraud and waste in such a short time! Billions!".
Talk about so many levels of ignorance.

Many Americans (mainly MAGAts) do not understand what USAID is all about.
Why interrupt my social media/streaming platform/reality TV watching/video gaming/target practice time by educating myself in the intricacies of government agencies that don't have shit to do with me?
Had better things to do .......
But Americans VOTED FOR THIS!
As they say in a certain segment of America: You done got GOT!!!!!
Ask the Arab-American voters in Michigan that could not vote for a woman, but voted for a felon, how they feel at this moment.
....and now....

To be fair, the Arab-American shift in Michigan wasn't in protest against Harris' gender, but the Biden/Harris policy in Israel/Gaza. Of course, shifting to Trump was always only ever going to be voting for the fire over the frying pan, and I remain in awe that any of those voters thought it would be otherwise.

Trump is the proverbial kid who slept through history class, and now imagines himself the prophet of “common sense” because he’s doing the most obvious and intuitively plausible things.
Nevermind the fact that there are innumerous examples of these innovative common sense policies inevitably leading to suffering, death, famine, war, genocide, economic collapse, and other sub-optimal outcomes.
To the MAGA mob, and the Republicans in general*, it’s a Trumpian Renaissance. A chance to champion so many great ideas that they’ve had in dreams, or while having a shower, or featured in the plot their favourite movie - but were blocked by the short-sighted Democrats.
Below is a great example of a spectacular fail resulting from the brilliant common sense economic policies of one Ronald W Reagan - a US President to whom Republicans ascribe near-mythical powers of leadership. You can judge for yourself how his brilliantly simple scheme to protect the US against Japanese competitors panned out:
*What is the correct collective noun for a group of Republicans - A Dungheap? A Maroonful? An Infestation?
