Maybe they'll need a THIRD printing sooner rather than later!

Stan Lee said “never give the fans what they THINK they want!”

I’d say this contradicts that, except I don’t think anyone knew they wanted it!!

;-)

Missed out on ordering, with too many distractions recently. I look forward
to the possibility of getting a reprint stamped. ;)

Question JB, when/how did Willie Evans first come to your attention?

Elsewhen prompted me to re-read the FF story recently, nice little single issue romp.

Out in the real world multiple printings are considered editions, not reprints. So no rubber stamp on ELSEWHEN.

(For those unfamiliar, long, long ago, when I was called upon to sign mountains of reprints of my work, someone waiting in the line at a con quipped that I should have a reprint signature. What would that be, I wondered, and on the flight home an answer suggested itself: a rubber stamp.

(I had one made, and used it for many years to the great amusement of the fans.)*

—-

*Some fans actually asked me to sign first printings with the stamp, but I saw too much potential for mischief if I did that. (I also brought along a sheaf of my comp copies, so I could sign one for fans who had brought along only reprints.)

I’ll mention that Chris Claremont was really unhappy about the X-Men reference in the original Willie Evans tale, done as it was with no consultation with the X-Office or CC.

Thus my story in ELSEWHEN comes the closest to a story CC and I were actually talking about doing.

And, no, I didn’t consult with CC either!
