Not sure how rare but I’d take about 100 issues of Kane and Wood. From Teen Titans #19

Another rare example of rare pairings I would add to the discussion would be Jose Luis Garcia Lopez and Kevin Nowlan. I think their first pairing was in Doctor Strangefate and then worked again, but I can't remember where.

Metal Men in Wednesday Comics.

Peter Martin: Day's inks had a nice polish to them. Am I right in assuming they were over full pencils though? "Detailed layouts" seems a bit of an oxymoron.___________
Yeah, I should have chosen my words more carefully. I didn't mean "layouts" like "roughs," I meant the basic structure of the page.

Carmine Infantino did a couple of issues of GHOST RIDER--#43 & 44 and also the Ghost Rider story in WHAT IF #17, inked by Ricardo Villamonte, Tom Sutton, and Frank Springer, respectively. (He also drew the other stories in that issue too, inked by Chic Stone, Mike Esposito, and Pablo Marcos.) I don't think Marvel knew what to do with Infantino, but they sure gave it a try! I really enjoyed his SPIDER-WOMAN though, and these images of Ghost Rider (especially the first one) have a certain something.

*****
Didn’t he draw like 50 issues of Star Wars? Their number one title at the time.

Teen Titans vol. 1 #19
One of the first DC Comics I read was a reprint of this issue. Just phenomenal work that entire issue.

Me: I don't think Marvel knew what to do with Infantino
Brian Miller: Didn’t he draw like 50 issues of Star Wars? Their number one title at the time.___________
Not that many, but a lot! I'm sure it was a success (it was STAR WARS, after all!) but I think he was a pretty odd choice! Artists who draw a lot of machinery (and maybe likenesses) like Al Williamson and Walt Simonson sure made a lot more sense! I suppose Infantino was chosen for this (and STAR-LORD too in the MARVEL PREVIEW magazine outings) because he did ADAM STRANGE way back when (which I just finally bought and read--my only Omnibus purchase!).
In general, it seemed like Marvel was always trying to find a place for Infantino and he never quite fit anywhere--except for the first 19 issues of SPIDER-WOMAN, which I love! His sleek fluidity worked well there (and if the Shroud had had a spin-off, he would have been perfect!), but I don't know where else. I do like the images I posted of his Ghost Rider and Johnny Blaze though--I wouldn't have minded more there.
He might have wowed on DR. STRANGE! His Clea sure would have been beautiful.
