Wow, Austin looks great over Tuska!Interesting the last page of that issue has a Cockrum/Austin splash.
That Wonder Man outfit is odd. Tuska used a Captain Marvel style mask in a Captain Marvel book. The timeline is off too, that issue was on the newsstands a few issues into his Safari Jacket phase. Must have been written several months ahead of The Avengers writing. Or it's just a workout garb...

George Tuska had drawn a final page splash with Wonder Man attacking Captain Marvel, but the editor took the decision to end Wonder Man's involvement. link

Great info Colin, thanks!
And I propose that Wonder Man has actually come to Mar-Vell's aid from an unseen foe before them.

During John Buscema's early 70's FANTASTIC FOUR run, he was spelled a couple of times by Ross Andru and Ramona Fradon, both inked by the great Joe Sinnott. Sinnott over Andru is quite dynamic and probably the best I've ever seen from Andru. Here's some Andru pages from FF #131:

Here's Ramona Fradon on FANTASTIC FOUR #133 where she's inked by Joe Sinnott. Her two FF issues are her only Marvel work I've ever seen or heard about, but I like her take on Thundra and I totally would have bought at least a mini-series!

Love me some Fradon! She told Howard Chaykin that Sinnott "...made it look a lot better than it was." I have a feeling that Sinnott may do that for most, however.
BTW, Ramona was slated to do The Cat originally and there's even a page out there from her. She did do a variant cover of Namora #1 in 2010.

Ramona Fradon's unpublished issue of the Cat was pseudonymously inked by Jim Mooney as Noel Monet - no money? link
In Back Issue #46 she said, "First of all, I was really rusty. And [on The Cat #5] I was totally confounded by not drawing from a script. They gave me this one paragraph and said go draw this 17-page story. I don't think I did my best work by any means. I think I had a script on Fantastic Four, but I just don't think they were satisfied with my work. Then I went back to DC and started doing mysteries with Joe Orlando. I really had a lot of fun doing that. It suited my style, I think."

Interesting - got some serious Bruce Timm vibes from the art. Guess she was ahead of her time!

Her issue of the Cat looks beautiful. She did some terrific stuff for DC's horror books and I think Plop.

I did those Fradon/Sinnott pages! Her Plastic Man run is my favorite.

Those Andru/Sinnott pages are awesome too! I never knew about these two artistic pairings on the FF because (I have to admit it) I have not liked any of the issues I read after John Romita left and have not gone back to make sure I missed anything great.
Looks like I should have!

Woody inking Colan on that Captain America issue is the one that immediately came to mind for me, as well. Gorgeous artwork on that story. I remember buying it as a back issue in the early 1990s and just being totally in awe.
