I know this thread is about Terry, but what an influence on
other artists Marshall Rogers must have been! I look at
those Dr. Strange pieces and to my untrained eye, I see
seeds of both Paul Smith and Arthur Adams.

Curious as to whether Terry ever inked Michael Golden...

*****
Among things like some issues of Dr.Strange & Marvel Fanfare.... they collaborated on this...

thank you for sharing!

and of course Austin over Miller...and Simonson's Thor and Brian Bolland on Camelot 3000 (?)...

I am very, very fond of JB / Terry on FF #238....from the cover all the way through to the few interior pages he inks in the main comic.  I would love to have the original art for that cover!!!!

He's a legend of the industry!

Golden/Austin collaborations include Doctor Strange #55 (chosen by Arthur Adams in 1991 for inclusion in The Very Best of Marvel Comics), Star Wars #38, Lady Daemon in Bizarre Adventures #25 and Solo in Amazing Adventures(1988) #1. The last two were written by Chris Claremont, although a typo on GCD credits the British reprint of the Lady D story in Savage Action #8 to Christ Claremont.

Those definitely make me lament the loss of Zipatone and its imitators (I was a
Letratone guy, myself).

Much as I love Austin's inking, I really love those far too
few instances where he inks his own pencils. Really fun
stuff!

Terry Austin inking Marshall Rogers or John Byrne was always amazing, but I enjoyed when Austin's clean line showed up in unexpected places.  I especially liked him on Cockrum.
