QUESTION: Your note says “ And, no, those are Doom robots.”

But then describes Doom’s scheme to locate alternate Dooms from
parallel dimensions— leading me to wonder if you meant to say “those
are NOT Doom Robots”?

Either way—STANDING OVATION 👏 !!!

Leaving us in the middle of this says so powerfully how the story is
never really over. What an awesome image to close on. Thank you!

It's always about issues with the parent(s) with these heroes and villains, ain't it?

On another note, as someone who professes not to be feeling it anymore, you sure do a great job of hiding it!  < id="protanopia"> < id="deuteranopia"> < id="tritanopia">

Man, what a series run! I've been telling anyone who would listen that JB has been doing the only real X-Men book for the past couple of years, and I stand by that declaration! I've had people check out the series and thank me for letting them know about it...my typical response being "Don't thank me, thank John Byrne!".

This has been a fun series and I'm so happy for the 32(!) issues we got! Thanks, JB, for these added fun memories. Totally awesome!

"...So, Wolverine in Hell."

***************************************

What's this? Somebody writing a parallel-universe superhero story with actual, meaningful narrative? Not just a gimmick to introduce yet another alternate-costume / alternate-gender / alternate-race / evil-flipped version of established characters? Colour me intrigued!

Plus: 'Hell' would present lots of devil/demon cannon-fodder for Wolverine to happily slice & dice. Neat concept - and a great insight into what had been planned. What a ride these 32 FREE issues have been - thank you SO MUCH!

This issue reminds me of the 'real' Marvel comics. The ones I fell in love with as a youngster.
Just a note to say how great the shading has been throughout this series - probably wouldn't have been done to this extent if this had intended to be inked

JB,

As a comic fan, you'd provided me a new title to read, in a time when I'm not reading many comics these days.

As a fan of yours, you surprised me by coming out of semi-retirement and treating me to more content from my favorite writer-artist.

As a Marvel fan, I thank you for reintroducing me to my X-Men.

And as a fellow artist, thank you for letting us see behind the curtain. I loved seeing your pure pencils, with perspective lines and notes to the inker (early on).

And as I'd mentioned once before, while Elsewhen was a bright spot during a rough couple of years for us all, it was a tonic for me, specifically, in 2019, the year you actually started publishing the content as X-Men: Elsewhen. That was a very rough year for me and my family. It was great comfort to have a new page to look forward to, during that summer.

Thank you, sir!

JB, the words Thank You somehow seem inadequate, because I'd want them to encompass not just this itch that you scratched, but 40+ years of loving comic books due in large part to marveling at your art and later your words too.

Bravo!

Have you ever done a story involving Doom seeking to free his mother, JB?
