I love the display of teamwork on this page. Johnny calling out the problem, Reed taking out the source, while Sue sets up an out for Ben. Everyone gets their moment in the spotlight.

Great depiction of Ben inside the metal ball, and I am loving the FF teamwork. Nothing feels as right with these characters as when you are at the helm.
I imagine being trapped inside a malleable metal ball, with no way to get leverage, and it sealing itself up as quickly as you bend it would be an impossible trap to escape without outside assistance. Not a question of strength at all.
Magneto, despite all his power, is no Doom --- he's got the megalomania, but lacks the strategic mind to make himself a real threat.

The steel ball has elements in common with the water ball used by Diablo in my first issue as writer/artist. That also formed around Ben and moved when he moved, thus being “impossible” to escape. I can’t imagine anything more terrifying. (Cue various members telling us what they think would be more terrifying.)

"Diablo"Being french, for a moment i.... but you know what mistake i did, and how i understood what you were saying. And i was thinking that i needed to reread earlier issues of Elsewhen, when i realised what you were actually saying.
Edit, for those who don't know: Nightcrawler's french name is Diablo, of course Diablo (FF ennemy)'s name is also Diablo.
But you know Sentinels and Sentries are both called Sentinelles in french, so this is a X-Men/FF thing, i suppose!

Gah. I am just remembering how many threads I'm still tracking in this series. Logan rebooted. Scott erased! Child Phoenix. Asparagus. Magnus II. Doom. Pablo.
The satisfaction is in having them live. They all came back to me in a rush today. Great stuff!
