So much pure fun in today's next-to-last panel ... including Heather's body language!

I love seeing Shaman pull out a package that size from his pouch. My logic brain screams "NO" while the rest of my brain feels like a kid again!

I would not wish to speculate, James.

The original Wolverine is back – bad attitude and all! Curious to see how this plays out. We've spent comparatively little time with that character in the grand scheme of things.

Nobody else makes the yellow costume look that good.

I realized as some people puzzled over the contents of Shaman's box that I had (unconsciously?) taken advantage of these pages being in black and white. Obviously, if that little slice of the costume visible when Logan opens the box had been in color, the "secret" would have been revealed.

Welcome back Wolverine. Love how you are able to wipe away the barnacles that inevitably seem to occur over time with most fictional characters. I can't help but feel most original versions of characters are usually the most interesting before they get "softened" in many ways as time goes by.

I'm not sure why, but I guess I never really looked at Wolverine's costume because I just now realized that his belt rests just below his rib cage. He's obviously fine with it but, man, that looks uncomfortable as hell to me personally.

As I have often said, the people who created the characters probably got them right. Hence my tendency to go "back to the basics" whenever I can.

(There have, of course, been times when later writers have greatly improved on the original versions of the characters. Frank Miller's Bullseye, for instance, was light years ahead of the discount Flash villain to whom we were introduced. Ditto [sorry, Stan!] Roger Stern's work with She-Hulk.)

It's one of the subliminal things that help emphasize his short stature.

Nice page. Enjoying seeing this Wolverine again.

I can't imagine how dickheaded you'd have to be to sign up to this board just to slag off something free and fun.
