After looking at today's spread again, I'm not sure any inker would be able to do those pencils justice. There's just so much going on in terms of shading and weight that something would be "lost in translation."
Hmmm... I wonder how Leonard O'Grady, Trish Mulvihill or Dave Stewart would approach coloring this series...

Yikes! That second demon is sca-RY!•• Not sure I'd want to encounter either in a dark alley. Or strolling down a broad, bright boulevard. As I've mentioned before, Dave's designs were heavily influenced by Harryhausen. I took my cue from Geiger.

I'd definitely do my best Usain Bolt impression should I encounter either of them.
(For some reason, I keep getting extra spaces between words when I type here. The one that slipped through in my last post is killing me!)

Yeah, I wouldn't dig too far under that table top... especially at Mr. Byrne's house.
SPILKES? Sir, you are now a polyglot. I would have bet a large sum that I would never see that word in comics anywhere, any time. Thank you for making my day!

I liked that quite a bit. Jewish folks I've known from the NY area throw in a word here or there that catches the ear--mensch, schlemiel, etc. Definitely a new experience for a kid from Wisconsin when I moved to NJ in '76.
