Ted: Aw, man! The X-Men just took possession of that big door, and it's already warped!
**
Don't know if it means I'm "too old" -- but this thought definitely occurred to me in a way it never would have as a kid. I got a vague "jeez-- where do you go to get parts for THAT" kind of feeling.
All part of really buying into the reality here, I think. I've dented a garage door (or two) since I first started reading comics. Experience informs what we read.
Great stuff! I love a good "monster at the door" moment.

Next issue - the X-Men go to a local hardware store in search of parts to fix a giant metal door. How many do they need to visit? Who will have the parts needed and how will they avoid explaining why they need it?
Uh no. I am all for 'realism' but there is a limit. I really don't need to see that unless it is part of a 'crap we can't even get parts for the building without being attacked by Doom/Magneto/whatever'.

Whilst re-reading the pages of this latest issue (so far), I'm struck again by just how 'endearing' the character of Jahf is, and how much I am loving him being (at least for the present) a regular member of the supporting cast.
I've not felt as 'drawn' to the overall design/look and 'feel' of another character in this manner since way back in the days of E-Man when Rog-2000 made his debut. In your hands JB, both characters, despite being devoid of a nose (!), deliver fabulous expressions that truly delight.
No idea why I felt compelled to mention all this - but I love that little fella.

Seeing Pablo and Jahf arm-in-arm is heartwarming. With Wolverine the trio becomes an interesting, diverse group. But it feels right. Which is just great writing.

Right then, that's it for this issue for me.
I cannot read this one on a day by day basis - it's killing me. I'm going to have to do this one in one sitting when it is complete.
It's just too good and I need to experience it with flow. Those creatures are just brilliant in their design.

Crikey, those demons are FREAKY. The X-Men are really lucky to have Shaman around for guidance right now.

Jim Warden was here looking at pages on Saturday. He noted that the big, central demon, the one with the smooth face/skull, seemed familiar, and I said I thought it might have appeared, more or less, in BLOOD OF THE DEMON.And maybe even a couple of other times!
