These pages remind me of how fun and exciting reading comics used to be (and still is thanks to this platform!) versus what's on the market currently.

Aww! This is what I call a "Byrne Moment"-- something that feels so right, like we've been building toward it all this time and yet, I had no idea we were building toward it.
You even warned us and I didn't see it coming.
This does not say more about me than you. It does NAUT!

There are three questions with which I do not need to concern myself, working on ELSEWHEN:• How will my story be impacted by events in other, often unrelated titles (or by forced crossovers)? • Is there any obscure bit of “continuity” I may have missed that will unleash the Wrath of the Fanboys? • Is there enough in each issue to pull in the Speculator dollars? Right there is why this series may strike you as more FUN than contemporary comics.

I'm with you, Ryan! Though I see some Heather in my red-headed fiancé, I tend to see her more as my own Lana Lang, since we were childhood friends many moons ago, but only got together relatively recently.

Did not see that coming, but given my stated love for this couple, I was very happy to see them show up!

I used to imagine Marcia Strassman maybe playing Heather Hudson (she was Mrs. Kotter on Welcome Back, Kotter and also a recording artist in the '60s). I'm not sure if she would've had the nose for it now, and sadly departed a few years ago in any case.

JB, has anyone asked if you had a model in mind for Heather Hudson?

Not originally, but some years after I created Heather I first saw the actress Lisa Blount, who had that distinctive nose.

Who was that hot chick on WKRP with the long hair…..she’d make a good Heather. Googled: Bailey Quarters

Lisa Blount was a beauty. Absolutely terrific in AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN.Jan Smithers played Bailey and she was gorgeous, though she was somewhat upstaged by Loni Anderson and given very little to do on the show. I saw an episode of Dinah Shore where she had the WKRP cast on and she went around asking what the cast was doing back before they got cast. Smithers said she was spending her summer on the beach--which prompted both Frank Bonner (Herb) and Richard Sanders (Les) to joke that they were also--purely by coincidence--spending time on that same beach...

JB, how far upstate do you envision the new X-Men HQ? Catskills or Adirondacks?
