How about The Chosen for a name? It highlights the belief that their powers make them superior to regular people.

David Perrin: "...Seems to me like ‘The Brotherhood’ is still the best name for Magneto’s band of mutants, regardless of the line-up..."
I agree. I don't know why he would have called the group anything different in the altered timeline. Whenever I first read the interview where JB mentioned this concept, I had pretty much assumed Magneto would still be calling them the Brotherhood of (Evil) Mutants.

Mr. Byrne, I love the turned up uniform/costume points on Angel's cheeks. I always preferred your sleek, pointed down cheek pieces to Cockrum's curved up but the up pointed edges in Elsewhen fit with your alternate Angel.

This keeps getting better and better (both the issue and the series). Well, perhaps not better for our heroes...
Love the see-thru neuro-sword.
Sure, telling the defeat of the Avengers and FF would be way off from the main story, but it sure would be fun to read.

Referring to what they've done offers enough clues that this team has been amazingly successful on their own world... which means they are a serious threat even to a seasoned team of X-Men. Given what they've been through lately, our heroes may not be in fighting shape to deal with this new menace.

I hope the M-Men / Mutant Nation / Brotherhood group becomes recurring villains, it sure seems like there would be a lot of storytelling opportunity / contrasts.

If they’re The Chosen or The Brotherhood, why would they have “M” on their belts?

Loving everything about this arc so far. There seem to be so many interesting potential ways for the story to play out, and I'm sure there are ones that haven't occurred to me. From a writer's perspective, I'd find it difficult to decide which roads to take.
JB, to what extent has the plot continued to evolve as you've worked on the individual pages?

How about the Mutare, latin for "to change/move" (root of "mutant")?
( ...or The People's Front of Judea :P )

These evil M-Men are working well. The ruthless look on Scott's face killing Jean's parents, to how the Angel looks in every panel shows how strongly Magneto is in control. Every version, from X-Men #4 (his 2nd appearance - the first didn't show him influencing anyone expect by power) to the modern 'nice guy' has been charismatic, able to get people to do what he wants them to do even without mental powers. Suggests without powers he'd be a very successful (at getting power) politician.
I expect the X-Men will be shocked at how evil their counterparts are, some not so shocked probably. It will be fun to read.

I didn’t even notice that! LOL
Former members of the Brotherhood started a group called the Mutant Force. Can that be used? Also, maybe Murder Force.

There would be two Magentos, if they can get along with themselves, as well as the M-Men. Uh oh! :^O
