Looks like Scott Summers is having the same reaction to Elaine Grey's daughter as Peter Parker did to Anna Watson's niece!
Nice to see GNU 556 back in use. Making this series feel a little more "real" and giving a few of us a bit of a nostalgia hit.

Magneto = Ruthless
But I still get a vibe of hesitation from Scott using his powers in this fashion.

Magneto is brutal. I feel bad for both Jean and Scott here.

Magneto, you murderous bastard. He doesn't even do his own dirty work.
It was a genuine shock to see Scott (even Alterna-Scott) acting as an assassin. Damn!

Oh wow. Today was a surprise!
In that story with Magneto controlling minds, the reveal that the Vision controlled the Piper by phasing into him and becoming just a little solid was even more out of left field for me.

This is why I had to say "no" to Chris wanting to have Banshee create "sonic holograms" and have Kitty phasing between dimensions--and why, before I arrived, he was not allowed to have Storm use her power to create a star!* Sometimes, tho, the attitude is "it's just comic books." ____________ * Just a little one, but still!

Expanding a character's established powers risks letting a genie out of the bottle. Perhaps in the days of yore, when the philosophy of staying on model was still primary among artists, writers, and editors, an occasional expansion ended up being an easily ignored or even forgotten blip. Oh, but those days are long, long gone...
Anyway, I like how you make your furniture seem plush, JB. Magneto is really sitting in that chair.

"...for the moment does nothing." You know how to write a page-turner. The only downside of a slow rollout.
Thought strikes.... at least in Elsewhen, is The Watcher "living" in our continuity and watching other realities, or is he beyond that, and one continuity is as real to him as any other?

That is such a beautiful first panel... and such a harrowing fourth one. Poor alt-Jean.
Back to the first panel: you're really spoiling us with such a completely realised room.

Well... Someone is *really* a jerk now ;-) That's a particularly vicious thing to do to poor Jean and, I suspect, an arrogant thing too as Mags must know this would make it difficult to bring her to his side. Obviously, he has his way of bringing members into the group, but still... arrogant.
