I personally believe in the 2nd Amendment somewhat, but I do NOT believe in the NRA or some reasoning for gun violence.
The violent video games bullshit. Video games are more prevelent in Japan and South Korea, but they have far less shootings than in the U.S., due to stricter gun laws.
I believe in common sense, which the NRA lacks....or just doesn't care about.
Sales at gun shows should have to follow the same background checks and waiting period as if you bought it anywhere else.
The NRA wanted to make silencers legal due to some shooters having hearing problems. That's what ear protectors are for. If silencers are ever made legal, I give it less than a week before some psycho goes on a mass shooting spree and kills more people than he would have without a silencer because its next to impossible to track their location.
Laws some places have that require everyone to own or carry a gun should be illegal. But taking a gun safety course to even own a gun should be mandatory, and if you fail the test it should be months before you can try again.
The `they want to take our guns away!' garbage the NRA sprouts about Democrats is just fearmongering. What they want is stricter laws including background checks. True, criminals will still manage to get guns, but stricter background checks would keep them out of the hands of some people whose hands they should never get in in the first place, or at least make it harder for them to get them. But the NRA and Republicans think people owning guns is more important than people not being killed by guns.
