So weird that Youtube blocks things like this outside of the US. I do not get that. I know that's how it works for movie and TV rights but this is something they created themselves for this specific medium.

As usual, sadly revealing to read the comments. Most from folk simply viewing and accepting the piece for what it is—but then those few who have to dig for dirt. Confirmation, for instance, that I am a “terrible person” is to be found in my having paid 2/3rds of the asking price for the Superman/Spider-Man spread. No consideration allowed that the seller might—just might!—have been asking more than the piece was then worth.

The video is not available in Macau. I needed a VPN to view it.

JB, if you don't mind, what badge are you wearing in the video?

For people outside the US who don't have a VPN, and are still waiting for it to unlock, try this link to the Proxfree service which mirrors the video in 1080p - it should play back anywhere. (Feel free to remove the link if it violates any rules).
Excellent video, loved it! Ignore any malcontents who find an excuse to criticize that JB, you were definitely channeling Stan in getting across a boyish enthusiasm for Comics.
Also, dare I ask but your home and contents insurance must be through the roof! So many historically significant and irreplaceable pieces under one roof. Maybe get the Smithsonian to designate Byrne Manor as an annex :)

John there are always jerks on the web. You're famous and will always have the random oddballs who want to chip away at that fame by trying to analyze each word you say in an attempt to find something they imagine will discredit you. You come off as just a regular guy, humble even, in the video.
On another note, you've a fantastic collection of art and artifacts. I could not help but notice the Sky Masters Sunday, by Kirby and Wood, in the corner of one of the shots. What a combination! Wood is someone I would have loved seeing ink one of the Fourth World books.

JB, if you don't mind, what badge are you wearing in the video?••• The “Doomsday Clock”, from the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists. A friend who’s a member gave it to me.

This also makes me wonder, if there was a contest, what comic book professional has the best collection of stuff?
**************************************
I would say Stan Lee probably would have won that one easily when he was alive.

JB: I suspect there would not be much point in Neal inking my pencils. Either he’d overpower them, in which case why bother, or he’d be faithful—in which case why bother!

My ideal Byrne/Adams collaboration would involve a story by John Byrne, illustrated by Neal Adams.
Jeepers, that would just tickle me to death!

My reaction is simple... I have to get an Ace The Bat Hound!!! :^O
Also if I'd made that video I would've been stuck at the Kubert Hawkman pages for at least ten minutes alone. I had some early '80s British reprints with some of those in b&w and loved it!
I really could not handle the stuff with people posting some out-of-context quote somewhere to drum up hate... I really could not. Some of it to me is stalking. Also missing when anyone does that is if the person is smiling, or exaggerating, or all kinds of things. Whatever anyone wants to say I see a lot of restraint and yet still continuing to be open like many people want and like to be.

Correction: I wasn’t wearing the Doomsday Clock that day. That’s my Atheist button.
