Paul, I am losing tons of detail on these when I reduce! It's been a process to get used to, for sure.
Mine are all inked on an iPad Pro with Procreate. It really affords a lot of opportunity to "get things right" when I mess up a line. But that means it takes a while, too.
My process would certainly not be aligned with JB's story of Kirby being told he wasn't paid to erase! Even worse, it's with inks!

Oliver, love it! Love the bold lines, and the definition you gave the background.

It is really interesting seeing multiple hands inking these pages.

Hair can be tricky. If evey strand is the same line weight you need to be very precise with what strands are grouped when inking. See Art Adams for great examples. When you vary line weights in hair they need to flow together and in the same direction. Strands that are next to each other, but following slightly different directions spoil the illusion you are trying to achieve.

After a few hours of working, I was able to complete the inks and colors on Thing, was really fun! Feedback and advice is much appreciated.

One thing I would say in terms of criticism, Dan, is that JB's pencils had more detail in the Thing's eye. As far as I can see at this resolution, the eyeball has been lost in the inking.

Thanks for the feedback Peter, I see where you’re coming from. It’s hard to see because of the poor resolution, but there was some detail in the eye, less on the inked version. It was a bit challenging though, as I wanted Thing to be looking up, so I drew his pupil very small. After lowering the resolution, his eyes just look blank.
