Very nice pages, Eric! Nice detail.
For some reason, my inked page (above) came out a tad blurry. I don't know how you're keeping your pages sharp upon reduction.

When I'm inking, I like to add subtle embellishments (Storm's arm, monster's face) and I wonder if the pencilller encourages or frowns on that. I'm wanting to do more but don't want to overstep.

Paul,

Up until today I was just taking a photo of my pages and "fixing" the image distortion in Photoshop. When I was finished I would reduce the image down to 72dpi and a width of 600 pixels so that it could be posted. I don't know why you are getting burred images.

Today I finally picked up a scanner so this should make for better images. Here is a test with my new scanner on a panel I just finished.

Yes, Eric - that is very clear. Still using Le Pen? That's all I use now.
I am going to test a smaller panel to see if it shows up better!

Paul,  the images you posted look fine, but if you use Photoshop, I suggest using the "Hue/Saturation" to remove the blue lines, after inking the pencils.

Thanks, Matt. Yes, I should have thought of that - I was trying to remove the darker blue lines by erasing them - your idea is much better! (I use Paint Shop Pro - very similar to Photoshop).

Paul, I am still using the Le Pens for my technical lines, but the majority of my work is with a crow quill now. I use a Hunt 102 and Kuretaki Maru nibs.
