Armie Hammer made a post (on Twitter, I believe) commenting that everyone posting pictures of themselves with Stan is making it all about themselves and not him.
Armie Hammer, the garbage Lone Ranger, can go fly a kite.
Its not making it all about them, but showing how much of a beloved icon Stan was. I love seeing all the pictures of famous people with him that have popped up.

The full force of this loss is hitting me today. He brought about such a rich entertainment aligned with a genuine compassion for others. I am not sure if the world will ever see another person with such a profound effect on the entertainment industry.
On a personal level it feels like I have lost a beloved grandfather who would tell good stories around the camp fire. And reading the experiences of others it seems that many felt the same way, just a really deep sense of loss. He had a good long life and he was such a very positive influence on our lives. He left us so many good memories. And his memory and his influence will be with the world for a very long time hereafter.

I cannot cry for a man I did not know. So how is it that a man I did not know bring so much joy into my life? R.I.P.

What the hell? This is Stan Lee we are talking about. The master of self-promotion. A man that loved taking photos with fans, especially celebrities. I can't imagine him having an issue with people sharing their excitement of having met him as a tribute.

He really was the greatest in so many ways.
I remember watching an episode of the early-2000s revival of To Tell the Truth where three masked contestants all claimed to be Stan Lee. I was struck with two simultaneous thoughts 1) I would KILL to be on this panel! I could ask so many perfect questions to determine which one was the real Stan Lee! and 2) I would have to recuse myself because I’d know Stan Lee’s voice anywhere.
Goodbye, Mr. Lee. I got a great deal of entertainment and education from your work, and those who followed after you.

…I’d know Stan Lee’s voice anywhere.•• A few decades back there was a radio ad (don't recall what for) that I was SURE was Stan's voice--until I realized it was Jack Lemmon!

I heard today that there are 2 more Stan Lee cameos filmed. He will appear in Captain Marvel and Avengers 4. I hope Disney finds a way to make his presence felt in all other future movies, too. I feel like he would enjoy that.

Stan Lee's daughter is on TMZ right now claiming, "My father didn't co-create anything! He CREATED Spider-Man and the Hulk! Everyone's saying 'co-created' and I'm sick of it!"
Ugh, it's started already.
This was the exact scenario that Stan had been trying to prevent over the past couple of years.
RIP Stan, your legacy deserves better than this.
